Before driving the minibus It is the drivers responsibility to
perform the following before using the bus Make sure that a start mileage is recorded on the Log sheets. These are
kept in the folder either on the front seat or in the glove compartment. Check
the tyres, fuel etc. and ensure that the windows are all cleared. There is
an ice scraper and de-icer spray in the front of vehicle, along with a window
cleaning squeegee (for external use) and a sponge chamois (for internal use
only). Please do not remove these items from the vehicle. Passengers Check that all passengers have their seat belts securely fastened and
ensure that children know how to adjust the ‘Generation’ clip adjustment on the
belts, so that the diagonal strap is not at neck level. Driving the Minibus Be aware that this is a long wheel-based vehicle, and that extra care is
needed when turning corners to ensure that you don’t hit the kerb. Also, please
remember that the vehicle does not handle like a car, so bends should be
approached with care. The advisory speeds limits are 50mph for ‘A’ roads 60mph
for motorways and dual carriage ways Re-Fuelling Re-fuel only with diesel. The driver will be responsible for any damage
caused by using the incorrect fuel. Please
note that the cabin heater(see above) must be switched off before re-fuelling. No Eating/Drinking on the Minibus Whilst we don’t mind people eating sweets etc on the minibus, the
general rule is that we do not want any food or drink consumed inside the
minibus, and definitely NO CHIPS. This
is to ensure our bus stays in good condition and doesn’t suffer from unpleasant
odours! Changes in Circumctances Any changes in a drivers circumstances such as health or driving
convictions must be notified to the Minibus Convenor before driving this bus.
